On 24th February 2022, Russia began a full-scale invasion of the Ukraine
Nearly 3 million Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes and belongings to flee Ukraine due to the Russian Invasion
Mainly women, children and the elderly have fled Ukraine
Our Mission
Help accommodate Ukrainian families after they crossed the border to the neighbouring countries, by providing a safe place to stay in the form of apartments
The apartments are located in Liepaja, Latvia. The Latvian speaks the same language as Ukrainian, which would benefit non-English speaking refugees to assimilate with few difficulties
Refugees should not be worried to bring along their pets or other family members to flee the country, as it has been made sure that they will not be evicted from the property
How we do it
Provide accommodation in Liepaja, Latviaas we leverage the existing real estate network for the accommodation availability
Distribute emergency relief items including food, medicine, blankets, and clothes for the families
Each apartment will be fully allocated for one family, and not to be shared with volunteers
The cost of accommodation will be paid for during the first period of 6 months, and to be negotiated with the property owners afterwards
